TSOs are at the forefront of aviation security, responsible for ensuring that passengers and their belongings are screened thoroughly, while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Screening Passengers: TSOs operate screening equipment to identify prohibited items and potential threats in carry-on and checked baggage. They perform thorough, yet respectful, pat-downs and searches when necessary.
  • X-ray and Technology Operation: Utilize state-of-the-art screening technology, including X-ray machines, to examine luggage and personal items to ensure safety compliance.
  • Security Checks: Conduct passenger document verification, confirm boarding passes, and provide clear guidance on security procedures to travelers.
  • Crowd Control and Conflict Resolution: Maintain order and address any conflicts or issues that may arise during the screening process.
  • Emergency Response: TSOs are trained to respond to security incidents and emergencies, ensuring the safety and security of all passengers and personnel.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on evolving security protocols and technologies through ongoing training and certifications.
  • Qualifications:
    • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Nationality.
    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

    • Must pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening.
